Signs of Spring

The weather here in Charlotte the past few days has been simply amazing, bright sunny skies and warmer weather into the 70’s by afternoon.

Time to actually open the windows and let in some fresh air, give the hvac a break and spend time outside.

Also a great time to get out in the yard and clean up in preparation for the spring season – it’s still really too early to plant since we may not be completely done with cold weather this year.

The arrival of warmer weather has also brought a sure sign that Spring is officially on its way – walking through my front yard I saw that the weeds have already decided it’s time to start their growing season! And yeah the walkway could use a good sweeping too!

Every year I swear I’m going to catch and get a handle on them before they take over the yard and flower beds so today I spent some time on weed patrol, and it really was awesome to be outdoors.  Bright sunshine, comfortable temps and a slight breeze – great February weekend weather here in Charlotte!

Driving around I’m also seeing some trees start to bud which still amazes me each year that it starts so early here.

If you’re in the Charlotte area, hope you’re able to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and get outside for a while.  Have a great weekend!!!
