Hannah and Karl had outgrown their Charlotte home after a number of years (2 kids and another on the way) and needed to sell to move on to a bigger space. They could have elected to put the house on the market without doing any prep work and list based on the $ amount they wanted to net, letting the house sit and stagnate on the market and keeping them stuck (as other homes in the neighborhood had done).
Instead, they were WONDERFUL sellers!!! We met and consulted several times prior to listing their home. They upgraded some appliances, did LOTS of de-cluttering, freshening up and interior/exterior enhancements (even adding kitchen cabinet hardware!). We also talked through the most realistic sales price scenarios based on recent similar sales as well as the active competing homes in their area. They were realistic and we all agreed on a list price.
We had a ton of showing activity even during the start of the holiday season, received an offer less than 2 weeks after listing their home which led to a contract that proceeded smoothly to closing. From listing to closing, it was just over 1 month and they were absolutely thrilled to be able to move on so quickly. They were also able to take advantage of a new job opportunity in a different area since they had the chance to move on so quickly!
